Volkswagen Group reported that one in eight of its vehicles was a battery electric vehicle in the third quarter.
According to the company, electric vehicle sales in Europe were 20% higher than in the same period last year. EV sales were lagging in the US and China, however, which led the German automaker to report a decline in overall electric vehicle deliveries.
The company also said the share of EVs in total sales increased, even as the overall sales decline was steeper.
