Hydrovolt has signed a cooperation agreement with the Icelandic Recycling Fund to collect end-of-life batteries in Iceland and recycle them in Norway. The arrangement extends the company’s Nordic recycling network and covers batteries from electric vehicles and industrial applications.
Norwegian battery recycler Hydrovolt has signed a cooperation agreement with the Icelandic Recycling Fund (IRF).
Under the agreement, Hydrovolt will collect end-of-life batteries from electric vehicles and industrial applications in Iceland, transport them to Norway, and recycle them at its facility in Fredrikstad.
Hydrovolt says the step is part of its Nordic strategy, which aims to ensure that no battery in the region remains unused.
