Kawasaki Tsurumi Rinko Bus Co., Ltd., Toshiba Corporation and Drive Electro Technology K.K. have launched a demonstration project for a super-rapid-charging electric bus in Kawasaki.
The project uses a diesel bus retrofitted with EV technology and a Toshiba lithium-ion battery called SCiB.
According to the source, the demonstration will evaluate the effectiveness of the bus and its pantograph charging system.
