Greater Manchester reports 500 electric buses in operation and 163 more on order
Transport for Greater Manchester said the Bee Network has passed 500 electric buses in service, with 163 more vehicles scheduled for delivery. The milestone is part of the city region’s plan to move to a fully electric bus fleet by 2030.
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) said on 16 October 2026 that Greater Manchester’s Bee Network has exceeded 500 electric buses in operation.
TfGM also said 163 additional electric buses are on order and scheduled for delivery.
The authority said the milestone comes as the city region works towards a fully electric bus fleet by 2030.
