MAN and MVG to begin autonomous bus test rides in Munich on 17 November
MAN Truck & Bus and Munich public transport operator MVG will start passenger test rides with an autonomous Lion’s City 12 E on route 178 from 17 November. The trial is part of the MINGA research project and adds public-road testing with test passengers.
MAN Truck & Bus and Munich public transport operator MVG will begin passenger test rides with an autonomous Lion’s City 12 E on route 178 from 17 November.
The 12-metre battery-electric bus is automated by MAN in cooperation with technology partner ADASTEC. The service is part of the MINGA research project.
According to the source, the vehicle has already been undergoing testing in public road conditions. The launch extends the project into rides with test passengers.
