Qnovo pilots Battery Genome application for EV battery assessment

Qnovo is piloting an application built on its Battery Genome to assess the condition and value of EV batteries. The company says the tool is intended for use with EU battery passports, where battery condition matters for compliance and resale value.

Battery software provider Qnovo is piloting a new application built on its Battery Genome platform to assess the condition and value of EV batteries put on the road by automakers.

Qnovo says the application is designed for EU battery passports. The company notes that two batteries of the same age and mileage can age very differently depending on driving profiles, environmental conditions and cell-to-cell variation.

The source does not give further details on the pilot, including participating customers, timing or rollout plans.
