Germany’s electric car subsidy has passed 100,000 approved household applications since opening for applications in mid-May. The approvals, worth more than 430 million euros, show strong demand for the programme.
Germany’s electric car subsidy has been available for application since mid-May, and the first 100,000 applications have now been approved by the Federal Ministry for the Environment.
According to the ministry, the approved applications have a total value of more than 430 million euros. About 90% are for battery-electric cars.
The remaining 10% are for plug-in hybrids, the ministry said.
