New Flyer to supply 100 additional buses to Washington Metro

New Flyer has been awarded a contract to supply the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority with 100 additional buses, according to Bus-News.
The order covers 75 Xcelsior hybrid-electric 40-foot transit buses and 25 Xcelsior CHARGE NG battery-electric 40-foot transit buses.
Bus-News said the order comes from an option that is part of an existing five-year contract for 500 buses.
The publication did not provide further details on delivery timing.
