Tesla opens 14 Semi Megacharger stalls in Georgia
Tesla has opened its first Semi Megacharger sites in the Southeast, with stations near Atlanta and Savannah. The rollout gives the Tesla Semi its first public charging corridor outside California.
Tesla has opened two Semi Megacharger sites in Georgia, according to Electrek. One site has 8 stalls just south of Atlanta, and the other has 6 stalls outside Savannah.
Electrek reported that each stall is rated for up to 1.2 MW. The Savannah location is also the first Megacharger at a Pilot truck stop.
Together, the two stations form the Tesla Semi’s first public charging corridor outside California. The rollout was described as having been expected to start this summer.
