BMW starts Gen6 battery series production in Shenyang
BMW Group has begun series production of its Gen6 high-voltage batteries in Shenyang. The batteries will be used for Neue Klasse models BMW plans to make in China for the local market.
BMW Group has started series production of its Gen6 high-voltage batteries at a site in Shenyang, northeastern China.
The company says the plant is the third in its new battery network, after Debrecen and Irlbach-Straßkirchen.
In future, the energy storage systems made in Shenyang will power Neue Klasse models that BMW will manufacture in China for the local market.
